In order for our previous responsibilities to be possible, our final responsibility is to our Company. Business must make a sound profit. We must experiment with new methods of construction. Processes must be refined, innovative programs developed and mistakes paid for. New equipment must be purchased, new facilities provided and new designs launched. Reserves must be created to provide for adverse times.

Sensitivity to the Environment

As lifetime residents of New Jersey, the Schaeffer family knows the unique environments found in this small state. They believe that home building carries with it a responsibility to create communities that blend with their natural setting, and have been honored with the State Conservation Service Builder of the Year Award.
Recognizing today’s need for eco-sensitivity, the firm puts a focus on “green building” and has received several Green Building Awards from the Builders League of South Jersey, as well as recognition from the Preservation Alliance of Greater Philadelphia for the restoration of a vintage home in historic Haddonfield, NJ. Today the company builds homes that comply with the certification requirements of Energy Star Homes and also offers solar panels in selected communities.
