Last week the East Coast experienced numerous days of rain and wind from Hurricane Joaquin. As Jersey shore residents and store owners prepared for the worst, the hurricane ended up taking a different path and traveled out to sea. Schaeffer Family Homes kept a close watch on our Jersey Shore communities and homes under construction. In particular our Spicers Creek Community located at the Cape May Marina was something we were worried about. Luckily, our Clipper model on Rosemans Lane was fine and did not incur any damage or flooding. The town of Cape May experienced flooding in many areas making it hard for people to travel in town. After a couple days of drying out, all is well at the marina and in the town of Cape May. Whew!
In other news, we are excited to have another home under construction in Spicers Creek. The footings have started and the home will be a great addition to Lafayette Street and the picturesque community. Check back for progress pictures of our next beautiful home.
Later in the month, we will partake in Cape May’s 32nd Halloween Parade on Sunday October 18th, 2015. The annual parade features music, entertainment, and of course dozens of costumes. Stop by the Clipper Model for some treats and a tour!
In November, Schaeffer Family Homes to proud to be a Sponsor of the Exit 0 Jazz Festival occurring the weekend of November 6th- 8th. Check back on our blog for additional details as the event gets closer!
